What our patients say

"I’d battled a stubborn diabetic foot ulcer for months. Once Woundology started weekly in-home visits, I could actually relax and focus on healing. Within eight weeks my wound closed completely—and I never had to set foot in a clinic."

Carl H.

Patient

"The nurses treated my dad like family. They explained every step, showed me how to change dressings between visits, and always called to check in. Dad stayed out of the hospital, and his pain finally eased."

Anna M.

Daughter & Caregiver

"Partnering with Woundology cut our wound-related readmissions by nearly a third in six months. Their notes drop right into our EMR, and their rapid-response team is a lifesaver for weekend discharges."

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral to use Woundology?

In most cases, yes — a physician referral is needed for insurance billing. However, we also accept self-pay patients. Contact us and we'll help you figure out the right path.

How do I know if I need professional wound care?

If your wound is not healing, shows signs of infection (redness, warmth, swelling), or you’re managing a chronic condition like diabetes, professional wound care can be beneficial to prevent complications.

What types of wounds do you treat?

We treat diabetic foot and leg ulcers, pressure injuries (Stage I–IV), venous and arterial ulcers, surgical wound complications, and other chronic or slow-healing wounds.

How often will a specialist visit?

Visit frequency depends on your individual care plan, which will be determined during your initial assessment. Typically, visits are weekly, but can be more frequent if needed.

How far do you travel for home visits?

Our service area covers the regional metro area and surrounding communities. Contact us with your location and we'll confirm availability.

Is mobile wound care covered by insurance?

Many insurers, including Medicare and Medicaid, cover mobile wound care services with a valid physician order. We can help verify your coverage before the first visit.

What safety measures are in place during home visits?

Our team follows strict infection control protocols to ensure your safety and well-being, including the use of PPE and sterile techniques.

What should I expect during a visit?

A clinician will assess your wound, perform necessary cleaning and debridement, apply an appropriate dressing, and document everything for your physician. Most visits take 30–60 minutes.

Can family members be present during the visit?

Absolutely. We encourage family members or caregivers to be present — we're happy to answer questions and provide education on wound care between visits.
